CLEANSE · RESET · VITALITY

Clear the heavy. Reset the system.

At Wolf Spirit, Kambo is offered in a carefully held ceremonial setting guided by Mahi, where the focus is on safety, respect for the medicine and deep personal transformation.

Kambo is not psychedelic, but it is a strong physical and energetic cleanse that can support the body's natural healing processes. Many people come to Kambo when they feel stuck, depleted or disconnected, and are ready to reset their system.

01 — REMOVING PANEMA

A traditional deep cleanse

In the Amazon, Kambo is traditionally used to remove Panema — a heavy energetic state that can manifest as fatigue, misfortune, lack of direction or disconnection from life. When Panema is cleared, the person is believed to return to a natural state of vitality, clarity and alignment.

The experience is intense but short, usually lasting around 20–40 minutes. Afterwards, many people report feeling lighter, clearer, calmer and deeply reset.

PEOPLE OFTEN SEEK KAMBO FOR

  • Strengthening the immune system
  • Releasing physical and emotional toxicity
  • Clearing stagnant energy and “heavy” states
  • Improving mental clarity and focus
  • Breaking unhealthy patterns or addictions
  • Supporting hormonal balance and fertility
  • Reconnecting with vitality and purpose

02 — THE CEREMONY

How a ceremony unfolds

Held in small, carefully guided circles so each participant receives close attention and support. The process is held with calm guidance, breath and grounding.

i

Preparation

Full guidance is provided beforehand, including a health consultation and waiver. Ceremonies are held in small, carefully guided circles so each person receives close attention.

ii

The cleanse

Applied through small superficial points on the skin, the medicine enters the lymphatic system. Within minutes the body responds — warmth, a rapid heartbeat, sweating, and purging as toxins and stagnant energy release.

iii

Rest & integration

The intense phase lasts 20–40 minutes. Afterwards the body settles and there is time to rest, nourish and integrate. Many people feel lighter, clearer, calmer and deeply reset.

03 — HOW IT WORKS

The science of the medicine

The secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog contains a remarkable range of naturally occurring bioactive peptides — small chains of amino acids that act as signalling molecules, influencing the immune, endocrine, cardiovascular and digestive systems.

Researchers have identified peptides including dermorphin and deltorphin (natural pain regulation), phyllomedusin and phyllocaerulein (digestive stimulation and purging), phyllokinin and sauvagine (circulation and blood pressure), and dermaseptin (studied for antimicrobial activity).

Together these activate detoxification pathways and stimulate the body's natural healing processes. Scientific research into their potential applications continues.

04 — ETHICAL HARVESTING

Sourced with reverence

The Kambo used at Wolf Spirit is ethically sourced from indigenous communities in the Amazon. The frogs are carefully located in the rainforest and the secretion is gently collected without harming the animal, before it is released back into its natural habitat. These communities hold a deep relationship with the frog and the medicine it carries, treating both with respect and reverence. Supporting ethically sourced Kambo helps sustain indigenous knowledge and traditions.

05 — HELD SAFELY

Safety & contraindications

Kambo is a powerful cleansing medicine and is not suitable for everyone. For safety reasons it should not be used by people with certain medical conditions. All participants must complete a health consultation and waiver form before attending a ceremony.

  • Very low blood pressure
  • Aneurysm
  • Organ transplant
  • Certain psychiatric conditions
  • Pregnancy or recent childbirth

06 — GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered

Is Kambo psychedelic?

No. Kambo is not psychedelic and does not produce visions or altered states of consciousness. It is a physical cleansing process that works through the body.

How long does the ceremony last?

The active part usually lasts around 20–40 minutes, but the full ceremony including preparation and integration generally lasts 2–3 hours.

How many sessions do people usually do?

Some receive Kambo once for a deep cleanse, while others work with the medicine over several sessions. Traditionally it is sometimes taken three times within one moon cycle, though this varies by individual.

Is Kambo safe?

When administered responsibly with proper screening and preparation, Kambo is a safe practice. It is not suitable for everyone, which is why a full consultation form must be completed before attending.

Is the frog harmed?

No. The secretion is collected in a way that does not harm the frog, and the animal is released back into the forest afterwards. Our Kambo is ethically sourced from indigenous Amazonian communities.
