FIRE · WATER · PRAYER
The womb of Mother Earth.
The Sweat Lodge is an ancient purification ceremony practised in many cultures around the world. In our lineage we weave together the Red Path tradition of the temazcal with the shamanic practices we have been trained in, to meet the western psyche.
The lodge is prepared in a sacred way — from tending the fire and heating the stones to building and dressing the lodge. Participants are encouraged to get involved in the entire process.
01 — THE FOUR ELEMENTS
Awakening earth, water, fire and air
Inside this womb of Mother Earth, glowing stones are placed at the centre. Water and sacred herbs are poured over them, and the lodge leader guides the circle through prayer, song, silence and personal expression — awakening the four elements within us.
i
Earth
The lodge itself — the womb of Mother Earth, built and dressed in a sacred way, holding the circle.
ii
Fire
The grandfather stones, heated in the fire and carried glowing into the heart of the lodge.
iii
Water
Poured with sacred herbs over the stones, releasing the healing breath of steam.
iv
Air
Prayer, song and silence — the voice of the circle carrying us deeper into connection.
02 — RELEASE & RENEWAL
A return to harmony
Participants are invited to release old burdens, pray for healing, forgiveness and guidance, and give thanks for the blessings already received. As the heat, songs and prayer carry us deeper into connection with Spirit, ancestors and the medicine of Creation, the lodge becomes a space of renewal and belonging. Whether you come seeking healing, clarity, or simply to sit in community and prayer, it offers a profound opportunity to cleanse, restore and remember.
Four rounds
Each ceremony unfolds in four rounds — of prayer, song, silence and personal expression — awakening the four elements within us and bringing purification and balance to body, mind and spirit.
A shared meal
The rounds are followed by a shared meal, honouring the community of all beings — a return to harmony with the Earth and all our relations.
Held with respect
Open to all who come with respect, humility and willingness. Intimate and powerful, sometimes challenging, always grounding.
Sit with us in the circle.
